As our return to Pandora approaches, LEGO is building up the momentum with four new ‘Avatar’ sets to relive memorable scenes from the highest-grossing blockbuster of all time.
The sets were announced at the San Diego Comic-Con, where fans got an exclusive sneak peek into the sets and what they contained.

Fans can recreate the last sequence from the original movie using the first set: Neytiri & Thanator vs. AMP Quaritch. Along with Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldana, and Colonel Miles Quaritch, played by Stephen Lang. The kit also comes with a buildable AMP suit.
The set’s most impressive quality may be its capacity to recreate the bioluminescent flora of Pandora, by utilizing glow-in-the-dark LEGO pieces. The set has 560 pieces and is the cheapest (US$39.99), with the most components of the three.

Next in the line-up features a LEGO replica of Jake and Neytiri’s first flight aboard the Banshees. The main character, Jake Sulley, is included in his whole avatar form as well as two completely constructible Banshees in the 572-piece set titled Jake & Neyitri’s First Banshee Flight which retails for US$59.99. To further enhance the ambiance, the set includes two floating mountains.

The last and biggest set, with more than 800 pieces, is called the Floating Mountains: Site 26 & RDA Samson. At US$89.90, it is also the most expensive. The science lab where the humans spent the majority of their time and the SA-2 Samson helicopters may both be built. Five of the key characters—Jake, Dr. Grace Augustine, Norm, Trudy, and Na’vi—are also included.
A set of BrickHeadz of Jake Sulley in his human and avatar forms is also up for grabs for US$19.90.
LEGO will release the new sets on October 1, ahead of the release of the next ‘Avatar’ film.
